Central Question: What are the Unspoken Conversations in Families?
Process:
The family participating in the study was given a phone contact named "Wall." Text messages sent to "Wall" were anonymously projected onto the living room wall. These same messages were also collected in a databaseand later designed into a book.
Designed Outcome:
A book of one family's text messages over a three day period.
Takeaway Lessons:
- The "Wall" provided a dynamic communicate space within the home.
- Changing who is empowered to lead conversations can challenge the traditional family dynamic and conversation space.
- Media designers must consider the intersection between media structures and social structures.

- A father realized that his daughter was funnier than he thought.
