The Hands
Central Question:
What are the creative ways in which people use a pair of prosthetic hands?
Process:
Weddings are inherently awkward. I created a pair of prosthetic hands as a way to heighten this awkwardness. Video was used to document the creative ways The Hands were used including the London Bridge, the Make Out and the Raise the Roof.
What Am I Looking At?
Told through the eyes of one guest, this video documents the creative ways The Hands were used at a family wedding.
Takeaway Lesson:
Participants used The Hands in ways they have always wanted to use their own hands but were afraid to do so in public.
Unintended Result:
My family is creepy, often using The Hands to fondle one another.
